This website represents work I either did or shepherded as an Executive Creative Director and Chief Creative Officer for Publicis NY and Kirshenbaum, Bond + Partners.
As CCO, I helped guide my agencies to over 500 awards including: Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils, D&AD Pencils, Clios, LIA trophies, and NY Festival medals to name a few. In 2014, my agency's work won Creativity's and Ad Age's Interactive and Integrated Campaign of the Year, was given Adweek's Story of the Year, won three One Show Pencils and won five Effies (we were the third most-awarded agency). In 2015, the agency won the most Cannes Lions in its history, won 2 coveted D&AD Pencils and it's Similac "Sisterhood of Motherhood" was nominated by YouTube for video of the year.
In addition, I have a reputation for transforming a very traditional agency (publicis) into a formidable integrated shop. As a result of the integrated model I had co-developed, the agency recently won 40 percent of its awards for interactive work. As an example, in 2013, the agency won more Mashies than RGA, AKQA, Razorfish, Digitas and 360i. In 2014, we were the fourth most awarded agency in the IAB Mixx Awards. In addition, we were named a Top Twenty Viral Agency by Ad Age.
Prior to Publicis, I was the ECD and Vice-Chairman of Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners. During my six years there I helped regain the agency's creative reputation and helped win Edward Jones, Verizon, Mohegan Sun, Timex, and Revlon to name a few.
Prior to KBP, I was the ECD of Ammirati. And before that I spent my formative years at Chiat/Day Los Angeles.
There is a lot I still don't know about our business, but one thing I have learned to do is how to take a very traditional agency and build it into a truly integrated agency. I have won the industry's most prestigious awards for the biggest, toughest clients at the agency. And I have learned enormously by growing Publicis from 250 people to 800.
My loves are my wife, Mary, (to whom I bow before each and every single day), my two daughters Maggie and Madelaine, mountains, oceans, near friends and distant lands.
